Head Chef Wanted

Start: December 1, 2026

After 10 years together, our head chef is leaving us.

What does he leave behind?

A kitchen that runs smoothly.
A well-coordinated team.
A thriving à la carte restaurant.
Satisfied hotel guests.
Many weddings and celebrations.
Great regional producers and suppliers.
And high culinary standards that we intend to uphold in the future.

So, really, everything is here. The only thing missing is you.

With us, you’re the head chef—but above all, you’re a cook.

We’re a small team and we work together in the kitchen: you, our sous chef, who has been with us for 15 years with us, two apprentices in their second and third years, and our dishwasher.

We prepare meals for our à la carte restaurant and for our hotel guests as part of the half-board plan. In addition, we host weddings by the lake, birthdays, baptisms, Christmas parties, and other events, as well as our Culinary Evenings featuring tasting menus and products from local producers.

As a a Slow Food business , regional sourcing, authentic products, and personal relationships with our producers are particularly important to us.

You won’t be starting from scratch here.

Our sous chef knows the kitchen and the operation inside and out. Our current head chef will also take the time to ensure a smooth transition and show you everything you need to know to get started.

So you won’t be taking over a mess, and you won’t have to build a new team from scratch.

The kitchen is up and running. The team is in place.

Many people on our team have been with us for years. We know each other, help each other out, treat each other with respect, and can laugh together. We, as managers, are right in the thick of things and are always approachable.

What We Expect from You

We are looking for a passionate chefwho enjoys cooking, takes responsibility, and finds joy in leading a small team and teaching our apprentices.

You should respect what has been tried and tested, but also contribute your own ideas.

After all, you shouldn’t spend the next ten years copying your predecessor’s kitchen.

Once you’ve joined us, you’ll be expected to build on what we’ve done and develop your own style.

It’s going to be your kitchen.

What You Can Expect from Us

  • 5-day workweek
  • Working hours from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • 1 fixed day off and 1 additional day off per week
  • Full-time position available year-round
  • A small, close-knit team
  • A thorough handover
  • Freedom to bring your own ideas to the table
  • Good pay

We’ll discuss your salary with you in person—we believe that good work deserves good pay.

Want to try cooking it? I’d love to.

Not because you have to prove something to us in a few hours.
But because when you cook together, you quickly realize if you’re a good fit.

This way, you can take your time getting to know our kitchen, how we operate, and—most importantly—
—the people behind it all—and we can get to know you, too.

After all, in the end, it’s not just experience and culinary skills that matter.

People have to be compatible with one another.

If you feel like you might be a good fit for us,
we look forward to getting to know you.

    Maybe the footsteps are big.
But you don’t have to follow in them.
